Position Description

 

Working as a member of the project team, develops custom solutions using Java, Oracle, and other supporting technologies. Specific activities include:

  • Developing custom services, components, or modules using Java, Angular, JSP, JQuery, Bootstrap, JBOSS and/or Resin, Oracle DB, and other supporting technologies
  • Supporting existing applications by addressing defects, making minor enhancements and resolving system defects
  • Remediating security vulnerabilities
  • Assist with developing, testing, configuring, and deploying technical solutions addressing business challenges within the scope of the project
  • Provide coverage for system monitoring and periodic health checks, triaging and troubleshooting application issues

Preference will be given to candidates local to the DC Metro area. The projected compensation range for this position is $130K to $150K (annualized USD). The final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is determined by various factors, including but not limited to the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as internal pay equity, location, contract-specific affordability and other organizational requirements.

Required Skills

 
  • 6 years of relevant IT development experience, primarily working with the Java technology stack
  • Bachelor’s degree in IT-related field
  • Hands on experience with the following: Java, JSP, AngularJS, Hibernate, and Apache Camel
  • Familiarity with the following: HTML 5, Bootstrap, AngularJS, JQuery, and CSS3
  • Experience developing Oracle PL/SQL statements and stored procedures
  • Experience developing web applications and content that is Section 508 compliant
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of of an agile team
  • Possess strong analytical and technical skills and is capable of assisting in various areas of business solutions implementation and integration.
  • Must be able to successfully complete the federal background investigation.
  • United States Citizenship

Desirable Skills

 
  • Experience with Spring, Thymeleaf, iTextPDF, and Maven
  • Experience with CI/CD and Testing, including JMeter, GitHub, Jenkins, JUnit, JaCoco, Selinium, Jasmine, and SmartBear
  • Experience with MongoDB and PostgreSQL
  • Experience working in an AWS Cloud environment
  • Experience supporting federal government customers
  • Active federal government public trust clearance
