Job Description
Seeking a Software Engineer III to develop secure, scalable, and reliable tech solutions for CMEG. Hybrid role (2 days in-office) – candidates must be in Chicago or relocate. Full-time only (No C2C). Final interview on-site in Chicago. Work under mentorship to build global marketplace and risk management solutions.
Principal Accountabilities:
Must have 5+ years' experience with core Java backend skills with Multithreading, data structures, etc.
- Optimizes code for key performance metrics.
- Conducts unit testing and integration testing within the system. Enables broad testing system-wide without all components in place.
- Knowledge and experience with CI/CD and Cloud technologies exposure
- Google Cloud experience is a plus
- Intermediate Linux skills
- Industry standard message protocol experience will be a plus
- Intermediate proficiency in language knowledge; Writes application modules and unit tests with guidance.
- Offers complex insights during code reviews and helps with environmental build deployments, release notes and build notices;
- Identifies source of defects and issues.
- Reviews code to proactively identify and mitigate potential issues and defects.
- Troubleshoots own code and helps others find bugs in their own code.
- Troubleshoots and supports the customer facing environments
- Uses design or analysis patterns periodically, following SDLC process independently.
- Uses design/CASE tools to occasionally share and communicate design ideas.
- Intermediate knowledge of database SQL, as well as basic database modeling and elementary tuning.
Skills & Software Requirements:
Core Java, Linux, Intermediate SQL knowledge. Basic modeling. Elementary tuning, messaging protocols
