Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead, supervise, and mentor a team of desktop services technicians, providing guidance on troubleshooting, software deployment, and hardware setup.
- Oversee the deployment, maintenance, and troubleshooting of desktop hardware and software, ensuring high levels of user satisfaction.
- Manage daily activities, performance reviews, and feedback, while ensuring timely resolution of desktop support issues.
- Implement best practices, manage services like Active Directory and Group Policy, and ensure systems are up to date with patches and security updates.
- Collaborate with IT security and third-party vendors for hardware procurement, security standards, and lifecycle management of desktop assets.
- Develop and enforce desktop-related policies, procedures, and documentation, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Monitor desktop support metrics, track ServiceNow tickets, and provide regular reports on service trends, performance, and resource allocation.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of relevant experience, including 1-2 years in a leadership or managerial role.
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in a technology discipline
- ITIL Foundations certification preferred, along with certifications like Network+, A+, CCNA, CHAMP, or Certified Desktop Support Technician.
- Advanced experience in setting up and maintaining AV/conference rooms.
- Expertise in desktop/laptop hardware/software configuration, troubleshooting, and deployment.
- Proficient in desktop management tools like SCCM, Microsoft Intune, AutoPilot, and other endpoint management solutions.
- Strong understanding of networking concepts, security practices, cloud technologies, Active Directory, Group Policy, and service desk systems.
