Job Description

The IT System Administrator is a critical role responsible for the smooth operation and maintenance of an organization's IT infrastructure. They ensure the availability, reliability, and security of computer systems, networks, and servers. They also provide technical support to users, troubleshoot issues, and implement new technologies.

You Will

User Support:

Assisting users with technical issues, such as password resets, software installation, or network connectivity problems.

Setting up new user accounts and permissions.

Providing training and guidance on using IT resources.
 

System Configuration and Deployment:

Installing and configuring new hardware and software.

Setting up and managing virtual machines and cloud resources.

Deploying updates and patches to systems and applications.
 

Security Management:

Monitoring security alerts and logs for potential threats.

Implementing security measures such as firewalls, antivirus software, and intrusion detection systems.

Investigating and responding to security incidents.
 

Other Tasks:

Participating in projects related to system upgrades, migrations, or new technology implementations.

Researching and evaluating new technologies to meet the organization's needs.

Staying up-to-date on industry trends and best practices through training and professional development.

 

Preferred Skills

5+ years supporting users with both software and hardware

Familiar with System Configuration and Deployment

Familiar with Security Management

Experience at an early-stage startup is a plus

Fintech experience a plus
