Job Description
Our direct banking customer is looking for a Platform Developer to join their team and help them manage the bank's internal application platforms. This is NOT an application development role! You'll be responsible for ensuring the platforms run smoothly and can handle high volumes of traffic, similar to how Netflix scales its services.
- Host and manage internal bank applications on the existing platforms.
- Ensure the platforms are scalable and elastic to handle varying traffic loads.
- Maintain and troubleshoot platform functionality.
- Work with other teams to ensure smooth application integration with the platforms.
Must-Have Skills:
- Eureka: Experience with service discovery tools like Eureka.
- Kafka: Experience with messaging systems like Kafka.
- Java & J2EE: Strong foundation in Java and J2EE development.
- Platform Development/Hosting: Experience building and maintaining development platforms.
- Camunda: Experience with Camunda BPM or similar workflow automation tools (a plus).
- API Gateway: Knowledge of API Gateway concepts (a plus).
We're looking for someone who:
- Has 6-8 years of hands-on experience in platform development.
- Enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.
- Has a strong understanding of core development principles for building scalable applications.
- Is a team player who can collaborate effectively with others.
Bonus Points:
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
